TAIPING: Two groups of youths went at each other with parangs and sticks outside a cybercafe in Kamunting here.

Sixteen were injured and nine were admitted to the Taiping Hospital, two in critical condi-tion with slash wounds on the head and body.

The severely injured were a 16-year-old boy visiting his mother who lived near the cybercafe and a 32-year-old contract worker who was passing by.

In the 9pm incident on Mon-day, the youths had also attacked passers-by and patrons of the cybercafe.

About 100 police personnel, led by Taiping OCPD Asst Comm Raja Musa Raja Razak, are tracking down the youths.

Perak police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Zulkifli Abdullah said the fight started after two groups of youths teased and jeered at each other outside the cybercafe.

“One of them slapped someone from the other group, and the victim brought his friends in. Then, they went after innocent victims with sharp objects,” he said.

“We are still determining how many youths were involved. We have yet to record statements (from those injured). When we do, we may get a clearer picture.”

The situation was swiftly contained within the hour, DCP Zulkifli said, adding that after midnight, police arrested three youths in their 20s found carrying sticks and iron rods.

However, police had yet to recover any parang and were still hunting for more suspects, he added.

Police also set up roadblocks in the Kamunting area as a crime-prevention and safety measure.

At a briefing yesterday attended by community leaders, state assemblymen, and representatives of political parties, departments and non-governmental organisations, ACP Raja Musa quelled talks that people had died in the incident.

He urged those present to explain to the community what happened.

“This incident has nothing to do with racial sentiments,” he said.

“This was about youngsters fighting, and it was contained before it could escalate.”

Perak MIC chairman Datuk G. Rajoo urged youths to respect each other and not seek revenge as Malaysia was a multicultural country.

“It was all just a misunderstanding,” he added.

ok, from what i surf, n info that i get from my malay friends n indian friends... theres lots of stupid jokes playin around there....

for ur info, i have lots of friends from different races... n we all know that every races have the beliefs that they are in a superior or better races..

then, the other info i got is, its between "3 calit" malay triad, and indian triad.... this 3 calit have a lots of stories u know... talking to different people they called it a muslimic group... peaceful group... the other said its a triad group... a kongsi gelap .... n now, the malay even have geng 77, n geng 36....

my malay friend, proud on wearing various type of chinese accessories suck as dragon necklace, dragon imprinted shirts, Paqua, etc ( since when dragon has anything to do with malay n islam hahahaha ).. always talk to me about these malay gangs with pride.. some even says it was back up by a powerful person in Malaysia...

but from my pass experience... it is hard to see malay using Parang or samurai except their "keris" n other tiny stuff.... they prefer bare knuckel... its hard to see, malay involved in any gang fight...

the reason is simple...

1. Malay is such a looser, they make various type of group, claiming its was legit, its for unity.. thay make a lots of stickers indicating their triad group... but the facts is simple, their such a cowards... put a lots of stickers at your car, drive like a maniac, keep an angry face so that nobody wants to warn them, be a roa bully...

2. they are weak... thats why they need to SHOW OFF... but in the end... hahahaha..... tell me, if u are good at something, u dont print it on ur forehead...

3. if they want to fight, they will ask a lots of their gang members to join them... well, we can see now,,, numbers doesnt matter... if u are weak, pimp, ur body are only 3 feet in diameter, why need to be a gangster anyway... ( because ur BIG BROTHER AND YOUR GREAT FATHER ALWAYS TELLING LIES ON HOW POWERFUL THEY ARE, HOW UNITY THEY ARE.. how the gang will die for each other, WHEN THEY ACTUALLY WANT MONEY FROM YOU!!!) THATS WHY!!!

4. so, if because of numbers means a lot... well back there at perak..... 16 MALAYS AND JUST 2 INDIANS LA WEY!!!! WHAT THE FUCK!!!!! IS THAT WHAT U GENG 3 CALIT VERY GOOD AT? next time, when u malays want to fight with other races, check out their strength... how many they are... IF THERES JUST ONLY 2 OF THEM... BETTER BRING 40 MALAYS... MAYBE 20 : 1 MIGHT GIVE U WEAK PEOPLE A BETTER CHANCE!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.... SISSY!!!!!!
